About the night
Five wines. Two countries. One very good reason to spend your Friday in Mayfair.
For our next Unwined, we're taking over House of Decant for Spain vs Italy.
Four standout wines, split across two of Europe's biggest wine countries. Rioja and Toro on one side. Sicily and Barolo on the other.
Throughout the evening, we'll taste the wines side by side, get into what makes each region and style different, and work out which side you're actually backing.
House of Decant will be on hand with the knowledge, but this is still Unwined. Good music, a relaxed room and 50 under-30s drinking some seriously good wine together.
By the end of the night, you'll have a better idea of the styles you naturally gravitate towards, what to look for next time you're choosing a bottle, and hopefully a couple of new favourites.

Whether you know your Barolo from your Rioja or normally just pick the nicest-looking label, it doesn't matter.

Two ways to drink with us
Every Clarity event is one or the other. Both are for under 30s, and neither expects you to know anything about wine.
Our socials feel like a great bar night: music, sometimes live, a full room and a party by the end. Each one has a theme and five wines to go with it, and a host who knows their stuff and will happily tell you about any of them. Come on your own, with a plus one or with the whole group chat.
Guided is our smaller, seated format. Around twenty people sit together while an expert opens six wines side by side and talks you through each one: who made it, where it's from and why it tastes the way it does. Every wine is included in your ticket, and you leave knowing more than you came with.
