Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Clarity collects through clarityclub.co.uk, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Clarity runs wine events and socials in London. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, email us at matt@clarityclub.co.uk.

What we collect

When you join Clarity. Our "Join Clarity" form asks for your full name, email address, phone number and age range. We store these along with the date you joined.

When you browse the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We also use the Meta Pixel, described below, which records the pages you view and whether you complete our signup form.

When you email us. We keep the emails you send us and anything you choose to include in them.

We don't collect payment details. Tickets are sold by our ticketing partners, not by this website.

How we use it

  • To add you to the Clarity list and send you event announcements, exclusive offers and early access to new events. You agree to receive these emails when you join, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
  • To send you a confirmation email when you join, including an invite to our WhatsApp group.
  • To contact you about events you've shown interest in.
  • To measure how well our adverts on Facebook and Instagram work, and to show our adverts to people who are likely to be interested in them.
  • To run and secure the website, and to respond to your questions.

Cookies and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It places a cookie in your browser and tells Meta when you view a page on our site and when you successfully join Clarity. Meta receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.

We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Meta.

You can limit this tracking by blocking cookies in your browser settings, using a tracker blocker, or adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Meta's own use of this information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with services that help us run Clarity:

  • Supabase, which stores our list of members.
  • Resend, which sends our emails.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • Meta, through the Meta Pixel, as described above.

We never sell your personal information.

Some parts of our site connect you directly to other companies, which handle your information under their own privacy policies:

  • Fatsoma sells tickets for most of our events. The ticket box on our event pages is provided by Fatsoma, and anything you enter there goes to Fatsoma.
  • Thursday sells tickets for events we run together with them.
  • WhatsApp runs our community group. If you join it, other members of the group can see your phone number.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, so your information may be processed in other countries. Where that happens, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you're on the Clarity list. If you ask us to remove you, we'll delete your details within one month. Emails you send us are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
  • delete your information
  • stop sending you marketing emails
  • restrict or object to how we use your information
  • send your information to you or another organisation in a portable format

To do any of these, email matt@clarityclub.co.uk. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before you do.

Age

Our events are for adults, and our signup form is only for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
