Terms
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms apply to tickets bought from Clarity through clarityclub.co.uk. Please read them before you buy — buying a ticket means you accept them. How we handle your personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
Clarity runs wine events and socials in London. You can reach us about any booking at matt@clarityclub.co.uk.
Some events are sold by someone else
Most of our events are sold here, and these terms cover those. A few are run with a partner and sold on their website — the event page says so and sends you there. Your contract is then with that company, on their terms, and refunds and entry are theirs to handle. We'll still help if you get stuck.
Buying a ticket
Choose a ticket on the event page and you'll be taken to Stripe, our payment provider, to pay by card.
While you're on the checkout page we hold your tickets for three minutes. After that they go back on sale, so if you take longer you may need to start again — and if the release has sold out meanwhile, at the next price.
Your contract with us is made when we email your booking confirmation. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and then tell us. There's nothing to print: you're on the door list under the name on the booking.
Tickets are sold in releases, each with its own price and number available. When one sells out the next opens, usually at a higher price. A closed release doesn't reopen.
What you pay
Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT. Each ticket also carries a booking fee, shown on the event page and included in the total Stripe shows you before you confirm. There's nothing else to pay for your ticket.
A discount code comes off the ticket and the booking fee together.
Who our events are for
Our events are designed for people in their twenties, and the event page says where an event has an age requirement.
We serve alcohol, so we can't serve anyone under 18. We may ask for photo ID on the door and will if you look under 25. If you can't show it, we can't serve you alcohol and may not be able to let you in.
Changing your mind
Tickets are non-refundable. The 14-day right to change your mind that covers most things bought online doesn't apply to a ticket for an event on a set date. That's an exception written into the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (regulation 28(1)(h)) for leisure services with a specific date of performance, not a rule of ours.
This doesn't affect your rights if something goes wrong — see below.
Passing your ticket on
You can pass a ticket to someone else up to 24 hours before the event. Email us their name and we'll change the door list; there's no charge, and you settle up between yourselves. They'll need to meet the same age and ID requirements. Please don't sell a ticket on for more than you paid for it.
If we change, move or cancel an event
Evenings change. We may swap a wine, a host, a supplier or the running order where there's a good reason — availability, something the venue requires, safety, or circumstances outside our control. The event will still be substantially what the page described.
If we move the date or the venue, we'll tell you as soon as we can and your ticket stays valid. If the new one doesn't work for you, tell us within 14 days of hearing from us and we'll refund you in full.
If we cancel, you get a full refund, booking fee included, to the card you paid with, within 14 days.
Beyond that refund we can't cover travel, accommodation or anything else you spent around the event, except as set out under "What we're responsible for".
Getting in on the night
The event page gives a last entry time. If you arrive after it we'll do what we can, but we can't promise to let you in, and we can't refund the ticket if we can't.
We may refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, if they can't show valid photo ID when asked, are under 18, are drunk (licensing law doesn't allow us to serve them), behave in a way that threatens or endangers other guests or staff, or won't follow the venue's safety rules. We don't refund in those cases, because the reason sits with the guest.
If we turn you away for any other reason, we'll refund you in full.
Food, drink and allergies
Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements when you book, or at least 48 hours before, and we'll tell you what we can do. We'll give you accurate information about what's in what we serve, and you can ask our host on the night. Our food is prepared in kitchens that handle allergens, so we can't promise a dish is free from traces of them.
Photographs
We take photographs at our events and may use them to promote Clarity. If you'd rather not appear in them, tell us when you arrive. You can also ask us later to stop using a photo of you; our Privacy Policy explains how we handle this.
If something goes wrong
If an event isn't run with reasonable care and skill, or isn't what we described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — normally to have it put right, or to a price reduction where that isn't possible. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
Email matt@clarityclub.co.uk and we'll look into it. If we can't settle it between us, the law of England and Wales applies and its courts can hear the matter; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there.
What we're responsible for
If we don't do what we've said we'll do, or don't do it with reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses — our tickets are sold for private use.
We don't limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Nor do we limit what you can recover for an event we didn't provide as promised.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when we last did. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published when you bought.
